For dancers over the age of 18, there are no studios in Detroit that offer dance instruction other than a ballroom studio. Release aims to change that by providing an uplifting and inspiring space where people can engage in the physical and emotional benefits of dance, through quality classes that allow dancers to continue their craft and release their true authentic selves.

What we did

After compiling market research, we created an identity that would inspire and attract the creative community of Detroit. Inspired by the industrial city, we crafted a brand identity that’s bold and artistic, with a bit of edge. We used earthy tones and modern typography to convey the raw and contemporary aesthetic. The negative space used throughout the brand identity reinforces the message behind the name: to feel an emotional and physical release.
